Built for working trucks, not for the shop.
- Save the workday.
- A shop visit costs 1.5–3 hours of revenue per truck — driver wages, deadhead miles, waiting in line. Mobile testing on-site means your trucks stay in service.
- Transparent rates.
- Most mobile testers hide pricing behind a phone call. We show you the rate before you book — test fee, travel, total. No bait-and-switch at the door.
- Free retest fee if you fail.
- We give you the failure codes and a written report on-site. Fix it with your mechanic and we waive the retest fee for 14 days. Travel still applies if your truck has moved outside our 30-mi free radius.
- We help you report.
- Vehicle owners are required to submit results to cleantruckcheck.arb.ca.gov within 30 days. We walk you through it on-site or submit on your behalf.
Four steps. No shop visit.
We've designed the entire flow around one thing: getting your truck tested without taking it out of service. From quote to certified pass/fail in a single visit.
- 01
Tell us your truck
Enter VIN or year/make/model. We cross-check the CARB scope rules and confirm exactly which test you need — or whether you're exempt.
- 02
Get a flat-rate quote
Test fee plus travel, calculated and shown before you book. No call-for-quote, no surprise add-ons.
- 03
We come to your truck
Yard, lot, port, jobsite — wherever your rig is parked. You don't lose a workday driving to a shop.
- 04
Pass / fail on-site
Certified results in minutes with a written report. We can also help submit directly to cleantruckcheck.arb.ca.gov.
No-Surprises
Testing.
A failed CARB test sticks to your truck's compliance record. That history triggers DMV registration holds, port and railyard entry denials, and Notices to Submit Testing. We let you test before it counts.
Pre-check
We run the same diagnostics CARB cares about — readiness monitors, DTCs, freeze frame data. Results stay private; nothing submitted.
Fix it
If we find issues, you get the exact codes and a written report. Your mechanic addresses what's needed.
Submit
Within 14 days we come back, run the official test, and submit ONLY the passing result to CARB. Your record stays clean.
Pre-check + official starts at $169/truck (owner-op). Fleet rates lower.
Flat rate.
Always upfront.
Three test modes, three fleet tiers. Bundle (pre-check + official) is most popular — gives you a chance to fix issues before they hit your CARB record. Travel free within 30 mi of Mira Mesa, then $1.25/mi round trip per visit.

What is CARB Clean Truck Check?
California's emissions compliance program for heavy-duty diesel and alternative-fuel vehicles over 14,000 lbs GVWR. Affected vehicles need a periodic OBD test (model-year 2013+) or Smoke Opacity test (pre-2013), plus reporting to cleantruckcheck.arb.ca.gov. Testing is semi-annual today, becoming quarterly in October 2027. We currently perform OBD testing; for Smoke Opacity, use CARB's tester directory.
Do I need a test?
If your vehicle is over 14,000 lbs GVWR, runs on diesel/alternative fuel/hybrid, and operates on California public roads, you likely do. Use our Vehicle Lookup — enter your VIN and we'll check scope, exemptions, and tell you which test applies.
How is mobile different from a shop?
Same CARB-credentialed equipment and same pass/fail outcome. Difference is we come to you — yard, lot, port, jobsite. No driving across town, no waiting in line. Often cheaper once you factor lost workday and fuel.
What happens if my truck fails?
You get the specific failure codes and a written report on-site. To avoid this scenario entirely, most customers pick our No-Surprises Bundle — we run a pre-check first (results NOT submitted to CARB), you fix anything we find, then we come back within 14 days for the official test. Only the passing result hits your CARB record. If you skipped the bundle and your official test fails, retest is billed at the standard rate.
Do you handle reporting to CARB?
Vehicle owners are legally responsible for submitting results to cleantruckcheck.arb.ca.gov. We can walk you through the submission on-site or submit on your behalf if you give us your CTC-VIS access.
Retrofit-equipped trucks?
We verify your retrofit device against CARB's Verified Diesel Emission Control Strategy (VDECS) database before testing. A non-verified or tampered retrofit is an automatic fail plus exposes you to HSC § 43016 penalties.
What's actually included in the price?
Test fee + travel. That's it. No hidden equipment fee, no surprise dispatch charge. Travel is free within 30 miles of Mira Mesa; beyond that, $1.25/mi round trip (covers fuel, vehicle wear, and our time on the road).
Fleet pricing?
Yes. Small fleet 2–9 trucks: ~20% off per truck, all tested in one visit. Large fleet 10+: ~35% off, plus optional monthly recurring schedule and a multi-user dashboard for your fleet manager.
